- When copying files from either a HD or another floppy drive I find myself
- keeping my fingers crossed that the transfer will be successful and I won't
- see this requester pop up;
-
- Empty
- has a write error
- on disk block ####
-
- Try Again Cancel
-
- Selecting 'Try Again' is of no use to me, if the disk is corrupt I don't
- want to use it.
-
- Selecting 'Cancel' can be a real pain especially if;
-
- 1. You are copying large files.
- 2. You are copying many large files.
- 3. You are copying either 1 or 2 *and* the error is a low numbered block.
-
- The disk attempts to write, flashes the Requester, you select 'Cancel',
- the disk attempts to write, flashes the Requester, you select 'Cancel',
- the disk attempts to write, flashes the Requester, you select 'Cancel',
-
- and on, and on, and on, until the write is either a success or you run
- out of bad blocks...
-
- Have I missed something? Has OS 3.x actually fixed this annoying 'problem'?
- Are there MS_DOG-like "Abort - Retry - Fail" options??
-
- Any/all comments appreciated,
